Your Health Insurance

Your HSA or FSA Covers Your Acupuncture And Massage!

Yes, you’ve read that correctly. Both HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) and FSAs  (Flexible Spending or Flexible Savings Accounts) are offered by many health insurance companies, and both cover acupuncture and massage sessions.

Many HSAs and FSAs give you a debit card that will cover health expenditures; it works just like a regular debit card. Or, if your health insurance company reimburses you for your expenses, just ask us to email you an invoice after your session. Many health insurance companies allow you to conveniently submit reimbursements online.

In Network Coverage

We are not currently in-network with any health insurance companies.

This includes Cigna, Aetna and Anthem BC/BS.

Why aren’t we in-network with any health insurance companies?

It can be frustrating for you as a consumer, because your health insurance company may say they cover acupuncture and massage treatments. It seems like a great benefit that you may have been looking forward to!

However, like many other alternative medicine services in the Denver Metro area, we cannot afford to accept their in-network rates. Reimbursement rates for both acupuncture and massage are so low that we cannot afford to accept in-network coverage for any health insurance company currently operating in Colorado.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. We sincerely hope that, in the near future, alternative medicine treatments like acupuncture and massage are valued more highly.

We feel that acupuncture and massage offer incredible health benefits and certainly qualify as “preventive care”; by treating your pain successfully now, we can help prevent worsening conditions and further, more drastic medical interventions. We hope that insurance companies will come to see that.
